Gian Piero Gasperini will welcome a new signing to Atalanta this week as Ervin Zukanovic has completed a loan move to Bergamo from Roma.
The defender has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico since the transfer window opened last month, and it was suggested that the Giallorossi would look to use him in a bid to bring Alejandro Gomez to the capital.
“Atalanta B.C announce that the club have acquired Ervin Zukanovic on a temporary basis from Roma with an option to buy,” read a statement on the Bergamaschi’s official website.

Zukanovic, who only joined Roma from Sampdoria in January of this year, made just 10 appearances during his short stay at the club.
