Amadou Diawara BolognaRoma are closing in on Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara as the player has made it clear he wants to leave for a bigger club.

Tensions have raised between Diawara and Bologna after he wasn’t allowed to move to La Liga side Valencia earlier this month.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have made an offer of €5 million for a one-year loan deal with an option to buy the player for €10m at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

The offer meets Bologna’s valuation for the player, however, the Rossoblu are only willing to accept an obligatory purchase by Roma at the end of the season instead of the option to buy.

The 19-year-old Guinean rose to prominence last season after quickly establishing himself as a key figure in Bologna’s midfield.

Before joining Bologna, Diawara played for Lega Pro side San Marino and for FC Sequence in Guinean championship.
