NAPOLI CALCIONELLA FOTO: VALDIFIORIFOTO MOSCAFollowing talks held between both parties, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has blocked the sale of Mirko Valdifiori to Torino.

Valdifiori wants to play in the Champions League and rejected a move along with club president De Laurentiis, with his desire to play in Europe’s top club competition keeping him with the Partenopei.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that negotiations held on Saturday did not end positive for Torino, but the Granata are still trying to convince both the player and the president that he should leave, and have offered Napoli €4.5 million for the 30-year-old.

Should the Italian midfielder come to the decision that he will leaves the Stadio San Paolo, it is almost certain that Torino would be where he ends up.

Valdifiori joined Napoli last summer and has since appeared just 15 times in all competitions, scoring no goals but assisting two.
