AC Milan to a Chinese consortium is back on the cards, and could be completed in the coming weeks after a meeting on August 16.

There had previously been worries that negotiations fell through and the current Rossoneri ownership would stay the same for next season, however claims of a negative outcome have been denied.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that talks are so close to being completed, in fact, that there will be a meeting on August 16 between Silvio Berlusconi and the rest of his Fininvest team and Nicholas Gancikoff to finalise details before signatures are exchanged potentially before the end of the month.

It still spells bad news for Milan’s transfer market, however, as funds from the sale, a reportedly promised €100 million, will only be dispensable in September.

This means the Diavolo are still restricted for the summer, however there is a possibility they will spend a large amount in January once the window reopens.
