mario-balotelliAfter a disappointing season with AC Milan and little future at Liverpool, Mario Balotelli could return to Italy, but to Chievo.

Newly promoted Serie A side Pescara had previously been a surprising link to the Italian international but they have since ruled out the unlikely move, and now Chievo have reportedly entered the race for his signature.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Gialloblu are interested in bringing the unwanted striker to the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi, with club president Luca Campedelli hoping to arrange talks over dinner with Balotelli’s agent, Mino Raiola.

Balotelli has also caught the attention of Dutch club Ajax and Turkish sides Galatasaray and Besiktas, but it is unknown where he will most probably end up yet.

It is almost certain, however, that he will leave Liverpool, after spending last season on loan at AC Milan, during which time he scored just three goals.
