Inter have confirmed former Ajax boss Frank De Boer as the new Nerazzurri boss, following the recent departure of Italian Roberto Mancini.
Tensions between Mancini and the Biscone management increased over the past few weeks as a result of the 51-year-old’s temperament and the club’s policy towards the transfer market.
Inter’s website confirmed, however, that a new era has begun at the Stadio Meazza, with De Boer taking over after signing a three-year contract, and he has already led a training session with the squad.
He was the assistant manager of the Netherlands national squad between 2008 and 2010, helping them to the final of the World Cup, before he took over at Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie.
De Boer helped I Lancieri win four straight league titles as well as a Johan Cruyff Shield.
