Inter are hoping to present captain Mauro Icardi with a contract renewal soon.
The Argentine striker has been linked with a move to the Partenopei recently as they look to move on following the departure of talisman Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus, but a move away from the Stadio Meazza might not happen this summer.
According to gianlucadimarzio.com, the Nerazzurri management will meet with Icardi over the coming days to discuss a contract extension, with a deal potentially being reached by the end of the week.
However, Inter could still be inclined to wait until the transfer market closes before presenting the 23-year-old with a new contract, just in case he does move away at the last minute.
