As Juventus look for a replacement for Paul Pogba, Zenit St Petersburg man Axel Witsel has re-emerged as a possible signing.

Although he denied claims he would leave in a recent fan video, Pogba looks set to join Manchester United and Juventus will be looking to make good use of the estimated €110 million they will receive for him.

Tuttosport reports that they are back looking at Witsel, who was a target earlier in the transfer window, and have added €4m to their previous offer for the 27-year-old, making a total of €18m, but will also add Roberto Pereyra to the deal to make sure negotiations reach a positive conclusion.

The Bianconeri were previously forced to look elsewhere as Zenit were reluctant to let their player go, while it also emerged Witsel was close to joining Napoli before the sale of Gonzalo Higuain took over the market.
