English Premier League champions Leicester City are willing to challenge Inter and submit a bid for Santos starlet Gabriel Barbosa.
Barbosa, nicknamed Gabigol, scored five times in ten appearances for Santos in the Campeonato Brasileiro last season and is currently part of the Brazilian side that is contesting in the Olympics, with his impressive showings attracting interest from last season’s surprise Premier League champions.
Globoesporte suggests that Claudio Ranieri’s men are willing to offer €27 million to acquire the services of Gabigol and are in pole position to sign the youngster.
Inter, who are leading Juventus in the chase to sign the Brazilian, are also facing competition from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, with the player himself saying he would prefer a move to France or England over Italy.
