mario-balotelliAn unsurprising move away from Liverpool for Italy striker Mario Balotelli has been completed, and he will play for Nice this season.

English Premier League side Liverpool sent him out on loan to AC Milan last season but he failed to revitalise his dwindling career in Italy and was sent back to Anfield but wasn’t included in boss Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the oncoming nine months.

As a result, the 26-year-old has moved to Ligue 1 and joined Nice, as announced on their official Twitter page.

It is expected that he will join on a permanent basis after moving on a free transfer.

Balotelli scored just three goals in 23 games for the Rossoneri last term, only one of which came during a Serie A game.

He failed to shine at Liverpool, where he only scored four times in 28 matches.
