De SciglioAC Milan have rejected an approach from fellow Serie A side Napoli to sign Italian defender Mattia De Sciglio, valuing him at €25 million.

The 23-year-old was previously speculated to be used as a sacrifice in order for Milan to get extra funds to buy new reinforcements, but since the sale of the club to a Chinese consortium was completed, the Rossoneri have received a bit extra cash and no longer have the need to let players go just for money.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, this now means they can remains stubborn over the availability of their key men, and as a result they have rejected a €15m offer from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis for De Sciglio.

The Diavolo have responded by placing a €25m price tag on the defender, who played 22 league games last year.
