Zielinski PolandNapoli are expected to announce the signing of Piotr Zielinski imminently after a new and improved contract has convinced the player to leave Udinese.

It was previously reported that Zielinski had a pre-agreement with AC Milan but his career is about to take another path after the Rossoneri failed to come up with necessary funds for his transfer.

Napoli took advantage of this situation and according to Tuttomercatoweb, they presented an improved deal to the player worth €1.2 million in his first year, rising to €1.6m in the fifth year which was enough to persuade the promising midfielder to join.

The Partenopei will pay Udinese €15m in cash plus Duvan Zapata and also send Juan Camilo Zuniga to Watford, a club also owned by the club’s president, Gino Pozzo.

Zielinski will be the second Poland international to join Napoli in less than a week as the Partenopei also signed Arkadiusz Milik from Ajax.

The 22-year-old midfielder played last season on loan at Empoli where he appeared in 36 games, scoring five goals and assisting six times for his teammates.
