paul-pogba-manchester-united-1Frenchman Paul Pogba has completed a return to Manchester United, putting an end to the lengthy transfer saga surrounding the summer market.

After four years with Juventus, which saw him claim four straight Scudetti and reach the final of the Champions League, the 23-year-old will return to Old Trafford to pick up from where he left off as a youngster before he moved to Italy in 2012.

The Italian club confirmed they will receive €105 million across two years for Pogba, with an extra €5m possible for each year if particular clauses are met.

United’s official Twitter account also confirmed that Pogba will wear the number six shirt in Manchester, while the player himself said it was the right time to return to England.

“I am happy to return to United, it has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I look forward to working with [United boss] Jose Mourinho,” he told the club’s website.

“I fully enjoyed my time at Juventus and I have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I consider friends.

“But I feel it is right to move back to Old Trafford.

“I have always loved playing in front of the fans and I look forward to giving my contribution to the team, this is the right club for me to achieve all I want to achieve in football.”

Meanwhile his new coach Mourinho, also speaking to the club’s website, said Pogba would not be ignored in the squad and would have a critical role in the future of the side.

“Paul is one of the best players in the world and he will bey a key element in the Manchester United side that I want to build for the future,” he said.
