Serbian international Nikola Maksimovic has completed a switch from Torino to fellow Serie A side Napoli on loan.
The 24-year-old had two years left on his contract at the Granata but the Partenopei’s summer market has ended in the same nature of the past few months with a transfer.
As announced on Torino’s official website, Maksimovic has joined Napoli on a temporary basis but the Neapolitans have an obligation to sign him outright at the end of the spell.
The defender moved to Torino in 2013 from Red Star Belgrade and has since played 76 times for them, scoring no goals but providing four assists.
Maksimovic is the latest name on a strong list of new signings for Napoli following the departure of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus earlier this summer, including Manolo Gabbiadini.
