AC Milan‘s main target Mateo Musacchio may not move to Italy after all as his current club Valencia rejected an approach from the Italians.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a transfer to the Stadio Meazza for some time, a transfer that had been first called off as a result of Milan’s lack of money but then put back on the cards following the Spanish La Liga side’s willingness to sell him.
Reports from Sky Sport Italia, however, claim that Villarreal have rejected the latest offer from Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani of a loan with the right to purchase at the end of the spell.
Galliani previously requested that the sale of the defender was put on hold while the Serie A side gathered enough cash to fund the move, but they now appear to be hopeful of getting a deal completed as soon as possible.
