Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has exclaimed his dislike for the Stadio San Paolo and announced plans for a smaller stadium.
The San Paolo currently holds around 60,000, and there were reports recently that it was set to be renovated for the third time, however De Laurentiis has now suggested otherwise.
“I will never return to the stadium, you see evil in the stands,” he said, as reported by Il Mattino.
“At the stadium there is no tube connection, which for me is a big problem.
“I will build a stadium with 20,000 seats, with the seats like ones in a theatre.
“It won’t be a small installation, you’ll see.”
