The opening two rounds of the 2016/17 Serie A season have seen the lowest crowd turnout for a decade, with a decrease of 8 per cent.

Despite the drama, statistics released by DynamiTick show that the total number of fans who saw their club play was 426,388, a record low since the 2007/08 season for an opening fortnight.
The total number of tickets sold were just over half of the available number, with 405,549 tickets remaining unsold, equalling 49 per cent.
Domestic football on the peninsula returns this weekend, with fixtures including Juventus hosting Sassuolo, surprise dark horses Genoa hosting Fiorentina and Pescara playing Inter.
