Former Sassuolo striker Simone Zaza is expected to stay in England with West Ham United instead of making a move back to Serie A and Napoli.
Zaza has struggled this season since moving to London and is yet to score a goal for his new club, whom he is at on loan from Juventus with the option for West Ham to buy him outright next summer.
According to reports from Sportmediaset, even though the 25-year-old’s performances haven’t so far been in line with the expectations of Slaven Bilic’s side, his coach does not intend to give up on the him, and the Italian is destined to stay in the English capital until June.
Napoli have been actively trying to get its hands on a striker in January after losing Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus in July and Arkadiusz Milik to an injury in October.
