Inter are ready to enter negotiations for cross-town rivals winger Suso as AC Milan demand players in exchange for the Spaniard.
The news comes as Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli suggested Inter offer Mauro Icardi, Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic in exchange for Suso.
However, joking aside, the two Milanese clubs appear to be taking matters seriously according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as agent Alessandro Lucci tries to find common ground on a deal.
Suso is considered indispensable by Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso, but with a €40 million release clause and a need to generate capital the Rossoneri could be forced into selling him.
Inter, meanwhile, have grown frustrated at some of their current crop and are prepared to offer the likes of Antonio Candreva as part of a cash swap deal.
Milan would seriously consider a proposition that involved the aforementioned Brozovic, but the Nerazzurri are determined to keep the Croatian midfielder.
Both sides would need to come to a compromise soon if negotiations are to continue, but it remains a difficult operation.
