Fiorentina and Cagliari played out a goalless draw at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

The game marked the end for Riccardo Montolivo and Cesare Natali who will both leave the club in the summer.

La Viola were on the backfoot early on as Nene was threatening for the Sardinians, while Alessio Cerci saw a shot go wide in some tame opening exchanges.

The Isolani then had a chance to take the lead before the break when Lorenzo Ariaudo’s cheeky back heel flick was cleared off the line by Salifu.

Another opportunity presented itself to the away side after the break as Thiago Ribeiro brushed the post with an snapshot.

Fiorentina did have a goal disallowed late one but Natali was deemed to have pushed a Cagliari defender, and thus the game finished 0-0.
