Modena and Brescia played to a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Alberto Braglia on Saturday evening in Serie B.

Andrea Caracciolo put the visitors ahead early on but Pablo Granoche converted a penalty to earn a point for the Gialloblu, who also had Lino Marzoratti sent off in the closing moments.

It took the Biancoazzurri just three minutes to take the lead and it was through their talisman Caracciolo. Marco Zambelli played a fine cross and the striker met the ball with his head to give the away side the lead.

Caracciolo nearly doubled his tally for the night a few minutes after but his effort was well saved by Carlo Pinsoglio.

Modena had two quick-fire chances laterĀ as both Granoche and Wilfried Osuji headed wide of the target.

Zambelli could have put the Leonessa two goals to the good later on in the half but his drive was thwarted by Pinsoglio.

Brescia were having more of the ball and Modena failed to register a shot on target in what was a deserved half-time lead for the Biancoazzurri.

The second half started off the same way as the first half ended with the visitors in control and Caracciolo had a chance to make it 2-0 but his effort was wide of the mark.

Moments later the home side were awarded a penalty following a foul by Ismail H’Maidat, and Granoche stepped up to put his team back on level terms.

In the last ten minutes, Felipe Sodinha had a golden opportunity to put Brescia in front but his drive was saved well.

The Gialloblu were reduced to ten men in the last minute of the game after Marzoratti received a second yellow card for a tough tackle and was dismissed.

Despite having ten man it was Modena that nearly nicked the win in injury time as Luca Calapai found himself in some space but fired wide of the target.
