The Italian Players’ Association (AIC) has collated the votes of all Serie A players and the 2010 Oscar del Calcio awards have been given out. Votes given in the summer have finally been collated and counted with the winners handed their prizes in a glittering ceremony held this evening in all’Auditorium di Milano.

Among the winners were Jose Mourhino who walked off with best coach after his treble triumph with Inter. Antonio Di Natale managed to bag best Italian player, meaning he would be up against winner of best foreign player, but it was Diego Milito who prevailed and scooped the overall best player award.

Upon his victory, Milito said, “I look at pictures of last year and I still get the chills. I want to thank all the players in Serie A that voted for me, I am proud to join this list of champions.”

Di Natale did pick up another award, the top scorer award and said, “I am happy for this award, but the best goal for me was the recovery of Udinese. It was hard to say no to Juventus but in football, its not all about the money. I am on 99 goals, I hope to make it 100 against Juve.”

Finally, Javier Pastore beat Mario Balotelli and Pato to the best young player award, and upon receiving the golden trophy he revealed his goals for Palermo, “Playing for a big team one day is my dream, but at this moment the best choice is to stay in Palermo and grow. We want to reach as high as possible, our goal is to win a place in the Champions League.”
