Inter are well on course to complete an extra ordinary recovery after a barnstorming match against Roma at the San Siro on Sunday evening. Despite the away side being 4-1 down at one point they did manage to comeback to 4-3 before an Esteban Cambiasso fifth killed the game.
That result capitalised on Milan slipping up in Genoa, only coming away from the Marassi with a point. While Lazio were also held at home to Chievo. Alessandro Matri returned to Sardinia to help his new team Juventus overcome a plucky Cagliari side 3-1, in a game that included an amazing Luca Toni header.
Finally, Palermo and Lecce played out a six-goal thriller with Fabrizio Miccoli scoring a wonderful freekick then failing to return for the second half because he was too emotional after the goal against his hometown club.
