This week we the Top Five Goals of the Week courtesy of Scot Munroe…

5. Giampaolo Pazzini – Cesena vs INTER
His first goal of his brace in the last five minutes of injury time, a cross in from the left hand side by Samuel Eto’o which was brilliantly flicked home by the predator “Il Pazzo”

4. Francesco Totti – Bari vs. ROMA
I am going for his first goal in his brace during the enthralling 3-2 win over Bari. A well taken free kick which he drilled past the wall, and left Gillet flat footed.

3. Fernando Tissone – SAMPDORIA vs. Brescia
A bullish run through the Brescia midfield and brilliant drilled effort from the Sampdoria midfielder in a six goal thriller.

2. Giampiero Pinzi – Fiorentina vs. UDINESE
A wonderful acrobatic volley from the corner of the box which left Fiorentina keeper Boruc stranded.

1. Juan Vargas – FIORENTINA vs. Udinese
A fantastic volley from Vargas which looped over the Udinese keeper, a contender for goal of the season.

That Totti goal was entirely Gillet’s fault; I’ve never seen a wall set up so poorly in top-flight football/calcio/soccer. It was a nice shot by Totti, with good power and great precision, but he shouldn’t have had the target to begin with.
