After scoring two goals in Roma’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Bari, Francesco Totti has taken his Serie A goal tally to 206, overtaking Roberto Baggio by one goal to become the fifth most prolific Serie A marksman of all time.

“I know what I can give and that will never die,” Totti said after the game, revealing the t-shirt below.

“I am happy to have achieved another record and hope to continue at this level. It’s such a shame I got the second penalty wrong, as I was about to compromise our entire campaign.

“Then with strength, grit and determination, the team fought back to grab the victory. We reacted like a top team.

“If we had only drawn here, then it was all over for fourth place. Instead we’re a point behind Lazio and can put pressure on them. It’s up to them now to put in a great performance against Juventus on Monday night.”

With Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perotta both shown red cards, Totti tried to offer some explanation to their actions.

“When you don’t achieve certain things on the field then you react and act out of turn. The squad is united, though, and wants to prove it is still alive.”
