As well as unveiling new signing Gokhan Inler in a lion mask earlier today, Napoli also revealed their new kit for the 2011/2012 season.
Designed with the famous Scudetto winning side in mind to replicated the colour of the shirt used during Napoli’s most successful era.
A statement on the clubs website read: “Napoli and Macron present the new home official match shirt season 2011/2012.
“The inspiration for the design comes from the most famous shirt in club’s history, when Napoli won the shield in 1987. A great team of past to celebrate the great team of the present. The Home shirt is colored “blue force” that proposes the blue used in the 80’s, repainted in a personalized model for the club, which integrates different tissues.
“The neck comes with under-collar knit fabric with contrasting and embroidered the words SSC Napoli. The numbers re-interpret the past style by presenting a graphic seam of numbers that inside them have the layout of the shield.
“Other big news of the 2011/2012 season is the Body Fit fit that allows players to move freely by reducing friction and allowing the skin to breathe.
“The kit combines the classic Italian style and the latest design technology, presenting a series of original details:
– External side slit with external binding contrasting colors
– blue fabric triangle in the neckline
– Ribbed knit inserts on sleeves
– Lateral Ribbed knit insert of short
– woven label and sewn on the side of the shirt and Official Team Equipment customized, to ensure the authenticity and quality of the Macron product.
