Milan’s Mr X is yet to arrive this summer and they are trying to narrow down the options. Apparently Fabregas is close to a move to Barca and is too expensive, Schweinsteiger is too committed to Bayern and there is defiantly no bid in place for Montolivo, (which means there definitely is). Also Palermo goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu is on his way to PSG and Palermo full-back Mattia Cassani is being courted by Lazio.

Manchester City have given up hope that striker Carlos Tevez may have a change of heart and stay at Eastlands after Roberto Mancini has been unable to contact him for a number of weeks. Tevez was set to join Brazilian club Corinthians however the deal broke down due to a rumoured lack of funds. City are now looking to offload Tevez after the recent arrival of Sergio “Kun” Aguero and Inter Milan are favourites to sign Tevez if they decide to stump up the cash.

Palermo talisman Javier Pastore has been hot property this summer and Palermo have done all they can to hold on to him, yet it now seems like they are resigned to losing their key asset. Palermo have confirmed that Chelsea and PSG have apparently both huge offers for the Argentine International, it is likely that Palermo will accept these offers and Pastore will be free to decide between the beauty of Paris and the smog of West London.

Tottenham will go head-to-head with Juventus to sign Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay.
The 25-year-old has failed to impose himself on Pep Guardiola’s side since he joined from PSV Eindhoven in December 2010 and is ready to leave the Nou Camp. Harry Redknapp is believed to have made a tentative approach for the Holland international but he could be beaten to the player’s signature after Juve manager Antonio Conte entered the equation.

With little less than five weeks of the transfer window remaining each club is scrambling around to try and build a squad capable of reaching their goals next season, and although some rumours can get tedious, at least it keeps us entertained during the closed season.
