Is the Gokhan Inler transfer saga finally at an end?
The Swiss midfielder has been expected to complete a switch from Udinese to Napoli for the best part of six months but after it seemed the move was set to collapse the midfielder has appeared at the unveiling of Napoli’s new kit.
“For me, this team is the best. We will always give everything to take Napoli as high as possible,” Inler told reporters at the event.
“Why have I never celebrated when I scored against Napoli? I have many friends here, then there is a secret and I want to keep it to myself.
“The important thing is that now I’m here: we have three competitions in front of us and we want to add three titles. I decided that I wanted to come to Naples a long time ago and this begins a new chapter for me.
“I want to give my best for these great fans, that I noticed when I came to the San Paolo with Udinese.
“[Marek] Hamsik, [Ezequiel] Lavezzi, [Edinson] Cavani? They are strong and young and I’m happy to be here.”
