January 9th 2011 Milan and Udinese played out an eight goal thriller which was no doubt one of the games of the season, probably the best in fact. Recently ESPN in the UK  decided to play a 30 minute highlight package of the game as the football season is over and it was a worth every minute of viewing.

Udinese took the lead after thirty five minutes and it was one half of the deadly duo off Antonio Di Natale grabbing the goal. Ten minutes later right on the stroke of half-time Milan equalised through the Brazilian Alexandre Pato.

Two goals in thirteen second half minutes swung the game in favour of Udinese as the other half of the Zebrette’s deadly duo, Alexis Sanchez, scored, while the third was added by Antonio Di Natale.

But with twelve minutes left to go Milan showed some resilience and a mentality of champions to force a defensive howler as Mehdi Benatia resulting in the ball deflecting into his own net. However it was not yet finished, three minutes later Alexandre Pato equalised as he toe poked home from close range.

Udinese thought thay had won it with one minute remaining of normal time as Argentine striker German Denis made it 4-3 to the away side. But it wasn’t over as in the third minute of injury time AC Milan pulled it back as the man who thinks he is god that is you Zlatan Ibrahimovic equalised with a fantastic finish from the penalty spot to share the spoils.

Who says the Italian football is boring only the stereotypical Sky Sports armchair fans… that’s who!
