Lazio have announced that Pasquale Foggia has left the club to join Sampdoria on loan.
At the end of the season the Blucerchiati have the option to turn the temporary move into a permanent one.
With the Serie B outfit having drawn their opening two matches in Italyis second tier, they are in need of some creativity.
The left winger began to impress during a loan spell at Cagliari during the 2007-08 season, and after returning to Lazio he carried on his good form.
However he only played nine matches in Serie A last season and has now been deemed surplus to requirements.
