Inter Are Finally Fitting Together

A victory in the Champions League and finally a victory at the San Siro has injected some confidence in the team.

One of the main factors is the positioning of players in the roles that they are meant to play in. Former coach’s Gasperini and even Benitez did well to try to change things around, but it simply failed.

Why would a team that had just one every trophy their is to win all of a sudden be changed just for the sake of changing?

This is not the way things work and Inter were a great example of this.

Then came Ranieri. After a meeting with President Massimo Moratti, it is obvious what the President wanted from the experienced coach.

Ranieri does not have a long list of titles, but he sure knows how to pick up a team from the bottom and make them a top team again.

Inter have lost games under Ranieri as well, but the coach still did not have the time to settle with the team. Bad decisions from the referee did not help as well.

Ranieri has managed to start putting the pieces together in a puzzle that was taken apart way back when Mourinho left the team.

Benitez ripped the team apart, Leonardo just guided the team till the end of the season, and he did a good job of it while Gasperini ripped the team apart again.

Ranieri came in, took stock and most probably said ‘let’s play like you did when Mourinho was coach.

If Claudio Ranieri is given the time, he might in fact have a great chance of winning the Scudetto this season. The usual problem is that Moratti has to have patience, and from I have seen so far, the President is very happy with his new coach.

Ranieri is not a greedy coach, he understands that he has to work with the players he has, as Moratti has made it clear he cannot spend the huge amounts of money as he did in the past.

The coach will obviously ask for some new players in the January transfer window, but this is expected.

The coach knows he has a squad full of champions, and he already is building the team around Wesley Sneijder.

It is very important that Ranieri convinces the directors of the club that Sneijder does not leave.

The coach is working very well with the team and his basic outlook is working very well with the team.

No fancy football, just a strong defence, an attacking midfield and two attackers to finish the job off.

As a fan, I am really happy Ranieri is with Inter and it is a shame that he was not with us at the start of the season.

Ranieri does love Roma, but he will or is already in love with the Black and Blue colours of Inter.

One response to “Inter Are Finally Fitting Together”

  1. It is great to see our team finally returning to the form we are used to, that being said there are still a few issues that need work (possession mainly!)
As you say keeping Sneijder is crucial for our success as not only is he a great player with his skill, vision & movement but he also gives the squad a belief and confidence that they can win games just as he and Eto’o did in previous seasons and when Wes isn’t on the pitch his missing influence really shows. Ranieri in my opinion is doing the right thing with our team and rebuilding it around Sneijder just as Mourinho did in 2009. Things are looking up again for us Interisti and with Ranieri in charge we again have a shot at challenging for the Scudetto. Forza INTER!!!
