Now that Silvio Berlusconi has stepped down as Italian Prime Minister, he might go back to filling the President position at Milan, the club he has owned since 1986. CEO Adriano Galliani commented on this possibility to Sky Sport 24.

“Berlusconi will be president again? We’ll see, but I assure you it would be a normal thing,” he said. “He never actually stopped being our president.”

Galliani went on to talk about the January transfer market: “It’s not necessarily true that someone will arrive in January. We have guaranteed Antonio [Cassano] that he will play. We are waiting for him.

“If he came back soon we wouldn’t need a new striker in January. There are no plans for [Didier] Drogba or Maxi Lopez.

“[Nicolas] Anelka? He’s an important player, but I was in love with the Drogba who played for Olympique Marseille…”

On the conditions of Gennaro Gattuso, who recently suffered an eye problem but has now gone back to training, he said: “He’s doing better, he is changing glasses all the time, it means he is improving.”
