Massimo Ficcadenti has officially been removed from his position as Cagliari coach this evening.

Isolani president Massimo Cellino is set to appoint his third manager of the season as Ficcadenti took over from Roberto Donadoni at the beginning of August.

“Massimo Ficcadenti is no longer the Cagliari Coach. The decision was made today,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“Along with the Coach, his collaborators Conca, Fulgoni and Toffolutti also leave the Rossoblu.

“Cagliari Calcio thank Massimo Ficcadenti and his staff for the work done up until now with effort and professionalism.”

It is thought that former Genoa and Palermo boss Davide Ballardini will be handed the reigns at the Sant’Elia.
