Fiorentina’s search for a new striker could soon be resolved as they look set to swoop for exiled Juventus frontman Amauri.

The Viola are in the market for a new striker after selling misfiring duo Alberto Gilardino and Santiago Silva at the beginning of the transfer window, and negotiations  for Amauri appear well underway as the Tuscan club look to resolve their attacking woes.

Speaking exclusively to Florence based radio station, Lady Radio, the Brazilian-born Italian international said, “I hope everything could soon be close, you know well what is happening”.

The two clubs are talking and I hope it could be solved as soon as possible. I hope soon to know the developments of the negotiations; then we will see what will happen”.

Juventus have been looking to offload Amauri for some time now and latest reports suggest a deal with Fiorentina is likely to be struck.
