It is with no doubt that Miroslav Klose has adapted to Italian football like a duck to water, and his acheivements so far haven’t gone unnoticed.

The German International has recieved ‘Best German Player Abroad award’ for his fine start to the campaign with Lazio.

Many thought the 33 year old would be a bench warmer in the Capital but has shown his goal scoring ability with nine goals so far and is now one of the most reliable goal scorers in Serie A.

What makes this award even more special is that Klose beat the likes of Mesut Oezil and Sami Khedira of Real Madrid, Per Mertesacker of Arsenal and Kevin Kuranyi of CSKA Moscow to the award.
