The team from east coast of Sicily continued their poor record as they have only one win in their last seven games following their 1-1 draw with Parma. The goal was scored by Gonzalo Bergessio who bagged his first goal after nine games without scoring. While Parma have an even worse record as in their last seven away games they have not managed a single win and the equalizer, scored by Francesco Modesto, is only their third goal in their last seven encounters, but on a positive note Parma’s new coach Roberto Donadoni remains unbeaten.

La Vecchia Signora remain the only unbeaten team in all of Europe’s top five leagues after they overcame Udinese 2-1 in the Juventus stadium. Alessandro Matri scored his eighth Serie A brace resigning Udinese to their fourth loss of the season. The team from Udine, hoping to get a place in the Champions League next season, have a terrible away record with only two wins away from the Stadio Friuli amassing ten points less than Lecce. Note that the goal scored by Floro Flores for Udinese is the first to be scored from a substitute for Udinese this season.

The Tuscan Derby was a tasty affair following Fiorentina’s fourth minute opener, their first goal in 225 minutes. The scorer Stevan Jovetic took his tally to ten goals and two assists this season, which is 60% of Fiorentina’s entire tally this season. The second goal fro La Viola was scored from a header by their central defender Cesare Natali. In the dying minutes of the game Emanuele Calaiò netted a penalty for Siena, meaning he has been involved in 47.6% of Siena’s goals, contributing nine goals and an assist. This was Siena’s fifth consecutive defeat this season, they have not won a single away game, scoring only five goals on their travels.

After four home clean sheets, the Flying Donkeys saw their record broken by Lazio who won 3-0. The first goal came from Hernanes – note that when Hernanes scores this season Lazio always win – and that was true when, in the last five minutes of the game, Miroslav Klose scored a brace taking his tally to eleven goals and three assists for the campaign, which is 46.6% of Lazio’s goals this season, while Djibril Cissé is the most prolific provider of assists away from home in Serie A, after managing his sixth assist of this campaign. Chievo have also failed to score more than two goals in any of their matches this season and Lazio hold the second best away record after AC Milan, the team they are hosting in midweek.

At the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Bologna broke La Magica’s winning streak as they were able to snatch a 1-1 draw, halting the Giallorossi’s four match winning streak. Marco Di Vaio scored his sixth goal of the season after a terrible mistake from Juan, then in the 62nd minute Miralem Pjanic bagged the equaliser from a free kick. Pjanic has scored three and assisted six goals, meaning he has been involved in more goals than any Roma player. Bologna have failed to win in their last five away games.

Genoa got their third consecutive home win after defeating Napoli in a very tough 3-2 encounter. Rodrigo Palacio scored a brace for Genoa which raised his tally to six goals in the last four games and eleven goals overall, whilst also contributing four assists this season, which is 53.6% of every goal his team has scored. Meanwhile Alberto Gilardino scored his first goal for his new team as well as getting by two assists. On the other hand, Mazzarri’s team have a poor away record, managing only one win in their last seven away matches and they have not gained a clean sheet in their last ten Serie A games both home and away. Note that Cavani scored his seventh goal in six games for Napoli in all competitions.

After 365 minutes of not scoring Atalanta finally found the back of the net thanks to an own goal scored by Cesena’s right-back Marco Rossi. German Denis received his first red card of the season and has not scored in his last four games. The weakest offense in Serie A failed to score against Atalanta and their defence has also failed to get a clean sheet in any of their last six games.

After seven wins in a row Lecce were the team that stopped Inter, Serse Cosmi grabbed his team’s first home three points against the team that has beaten them in the last four games in the Stadio Via del Mare. Lecce scored their first goal against Inter after four away clean sheets and the Giallorossi are now unbeaten in their last three games for the first time this season.

After being close to getting sacked Bortolo Mutti got his second win in a row with the Rosanero thanks to headers from Igor Budan. Fabrizio Miccoli got his seventh assist this season taking his tally equal to that of both Antonio Cassano and Pablo Armero. Meanwhile Novara conceded their tenth goal from a header, more than any other team in Serie A. Novara suffered their fifth consecutive away defeat this season, and hold the worst away record as they ahve lost eight games and drawn twice, not managing a single win.

As usual Zlatan Ibrahimovic left his mark on AC Milan’s scoresheet with one goal and another assist, which means Ibrahimovic has been involved in 44.2% of the strongest offense in Serie A’s goals this season. Antonio Nocerino scored his seventh goal of the campaign which is a new record for the player as he has never scored this amount of goals with any team in Serie A or B. Cagliari have failed to score in their last two games and to haven’t won in their last three, while AC Milan have won five of their last six Serie A games conceding only one goal and scoring twelve.
