Serie A and Serie B games suspended after Morosini tragedy

It has been announced that all Serie A and B games have been suspended after the death of Livorno player Piermario Morosini during today’s game against Pescara. The 25 year old suffered a heart attack on the pitch, but had already died by the ambulance’s arrival.

In respect to the tragedy, it has been announced by Lega Calcio that all games today will be suspended. It was first thought that a minutes silence and black armbands would have been put in place, but the decision to cancel was taken due to the severity of the event.

Forza Italian Football would like to offer it’s condolences to the family and friends of  Piermario Morosini, as well as his teammates at Livorno.
