Serie A 2011/2012: Top Ten Players from Week 34

Goalkeepers were working extra hard this weekend as there were five draws and several penalties given out.

The Scudetto race is heating up as Milan and Juventus looked for victories.

So let’s take a look at this week’s top ten players.

10. Franco Brienza (Siena) – Brienza punished Genoa with two goals that made some Genoa fans very unhappy.

9. Valeri Bojinov (Lecce) – Another player who scored very late in the game to earn his team a point.

8. Alejandro Gomez (Catania) – Catania have had a great second half of the season, and Gomez has been a big help. His pace and ability to through defenders was too much for Atalanta.

7. Julio Cesar (Inter) – Julio Cesar showed he still has what it takes by saving a penalty kick to help keep Inter in the game.

6. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Milan) – If anyone could have saved Milan’s chances at the tittle it’s Ibrahimovic. He scored the tying goal in a tough match against Bologna.

5. Sebastian Giovinco (Parma) – He put in a great performance in Parma’s victory over Cagliari, and topped it off with a goal.

4. Edinson Cavani (Napoli) – He was involved with both goals, scoring one and assisting the other to make it almost impossible for over to stay in the league next season.

3. Mirko Vucinic (Juventus) – He punished his former club with two assists to help Juventus get a little closer to the title.

2. Samir Handanovic (Udinese) – He stunned Chievo with several saves which included a saved penalty kick.

1. Arturo Vidal (Juventus) – He scored two goals in less than ten minutes, and shredded the Roma defense.
