pirloJuventus and Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich over the summer, however the Bundesliga side have been quick to rubbish these reports.

Pirlo, who was one of the players of the tournament in Euro 2012, is likely to attract a lot of attention from clubs around the world as he showed he is one of the best midfielders that the game has to offer.

That said though, Bayern say they have no intention of signing the Juventus man: “FC Bayern have neither made an offer to Juventus, nor have FC Bayern had any contact with the player or his agent,” said the clubs Chairman.

Those looking at last years’s football results  will note that the Turin side were unbeaten in the league last season. Pirlo played a massive part in this run of results and they will now want to do everything possible to keep him at the club as they search for back to back titles.

Juventus will also have high hopes of a successful Champions League campaign and Pirlo will play a big part in this as he showed how he can boss a game against some of Europe’s best players.

Meanwhile, former Juventus frontman Daniel Fonseca has urged the club to sign Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Suarez has attracted attention from the Italian giants but no bids have been made as yet, however Fonseca believes that they should make their move for the Uruguayan instead of going for their other big target, Edinson Cavani.

He said: “Suarez is more powerful and deadly; Cavani more agile. Recently, both have been proving themselves as lethal finishers in the area. Juventus would be making a good choice by signing one or the other. Of the two, I’d prefer to see Suarez go to Juventus”

Fonseca then added: “Signing either player would be difficult, but Juve should make a great effort to sign one of them. Uruguayans are, except in very rare cases, always a success in Italy and the pressure of playing for a big team is not a burden for us.”

It will be a tough task for the Serie A Champions to secure the Liverpool striker’s signature as new manager Brendan Rodgers is keen for his number seven to stay at the club.
