Inter will have to move quickly if they are to secure the signing of Brazilian youngster Lucas Moura after Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson admitted he wants to sign the player.

Last week Inter president Massimo Moratti told the public that he also still wants the player to join the Nerazzurri.

However, Luc Castaignos is on the verge of completing his switch to Twente for €7m while Emiliano Viviano’s stake at Inter is also to be sold to Palermo who will move the player on to Fiorentina.

Giampaolo Pazzini could also follow the duo as they rumours that he is set to swap San Siro for Juventus Stadium refuse to go away with the Bianconeri keen to open talks this week.

If the former Sampdoria striker does leave Andrea Stramaccioni’s side then the favourite to come in and replace him in attack is Atalanta frontman German Denis who impressed so much last season.

Real Madrid’s Kaka has put paid to hopes that he could be set for a romantic return to Milan as it does not fit in with his career plans at the moment.

Fiorentina hope to have finally put an end to the rumours regarding the future of star man Stevan Jovetic with the club announcing tonight that he will stay at the Artemio Franchi next season and “the team will be built around him.”

Napoli have also received welcome news surrounding one of their prized talents after Marek Hamsik said that he sees no reason why he would want to leave the club this summer.

Juventus look set to beat out Napoli to the signature of Sampdoria star Andrea Poli who looked likely to re-join Inter only a few weeks ago.

The league champions have also completed the signing of young midfielder Vykintas Slivka from Ekranas.

Milos Krasic and Fabio Quagliarella continue to be linked with moves away from the club though with the winger wanted by Fenerbahce while the Italian striker is attracting interest from Zenit St Petersburg.

Roma’s chase of defender Ivan Piris has been in the making for almost a week but only minor details are preventing the transfer from going through and he should be confirmed as a Roma player by tomorrow.

Palermo’s mercato has finally sparked into life as the club today completed the signing of Egidio Arevalo Rios for €3m on a three year deal from Tijuana.

Chievo have been equally busy on both fronts having sold Fernando Uribe to Atletico Nacional and also continue to chase Emiliano Alfaro.

Siena could be set to sign Argentine defender Fabricio Fontanini after the 22-year-old’s agent offered him to the Serie A side as well as Hellas Verona and Varese.
