Juventus have reportedly given up on bringing Arsenal striker Robin van Persie to the club and will instead focus their efforts on bringing Edin Dzeko or Robert Lewandowski to Turin.

Simon Kjaer has also been offered to the Bianconeri ahead of the coming season although it would seem unlikely they will take up the opportunity to sign him following his poor stint at Roma last year.

After a €25m price tag was slapped upon Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Milan have now turned their attentions elsewhere and are now focusing on bringing in Marseille defender Nicolas N’Kolou who, at 22-years-old, is already captain of his country Cameroon.

Kolo Toure is also being touted as a possibility for the Rossoneri.

Inter’s hopes of signing Brazilian youngster Lucas Moura remain in the balance after the club were told that they player and his agent are now mulling over the transfer.

Alberto Aquilani has also left Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States according to reports and is set to return to Italy to discuss a deal bringing him to Fiorentina.

His agent has rubbished rumours of an Anfield exit but the Reds have accepted an offer from the Viola for the Italian midfielder.

Lorenzo Insigne is close to signing a new deal at Napoli that will tie him down to the club until 2017.

The Partenopei still hope to bring in both Giuseppe Rossi and Sergio Floccari but are lining up alternatives should those deals fall through and the favourites are believed to be Giampaolo Pazzini and Rolando Bianchi.

Walter Gargano will not be leaving though according to the club unless a substantial offer is made for his services.

They, along with Roma, are also lining up a move for Dutch star Royston Drenthe who spent last season on loan at Everton and both have contacted his agent in the last few days.

Genoa are hoping to strengthen their squad by bringing in two new wingers and are eyeing up both Fiorentina’s Alessio Cerci and Juventus out of favour wide man Milos Krasic.

Lazio are also hoping to bring Cristian Zapata back to Serie A after he left Udinese for Villarreal two years ago and are also monitoring Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.

Uruguayan outfit Belgrano are set to lose one of their stars in Ribair Rodriguez to Siena who will tie up a move for the player this week.

Damiano Ferronetti is to leave Torino today and search for a new club with his agent already seeking a new club for the player after such a short time with the Granata.
