Today’s highlights…

At long last, the end of the Zlatan Ibrahimovic transfer saga is in sight with the striker set to agree terms today and the deal simply being a matter of time before it is official.

Robinho could also follow the Swede out of San Siro with Santos linked with a move for his services but he will only be sold if they can meet Milan’s €10m asking price although a possible swap deal could see goalkeeper Rafael join the Diavolo.

Another name now being linked with a surprise switch to the club is Manchester United’s Dimitar Berbatov whose agent has stated the player “would walk to Milanello to sign for Milan” but it is unclear whether the club will move for the player.

On the defensive front, the Rossoneri are looking to replace the departed Thiago Silva quickly and their main target at the moment is Porto defender Rolando who the club will offer a considerable wage increase to move to Italy although Stuttgart’s Serdar Tasci and Zenit’s Bruno Alves are also rumoured possibilities.

Juventus have strengthened their attack too with the signing of Richmond Boakye from Genoa on a co-ownership basis and could also net Inter frontman Giampaolo Pazzini after he rejected an offer from Weder Bremen.

Negotiations have for the moment stalled though for the Bianconeri as they look to tie up their second summer signing from Udinese by bringing Pablo Armero to Turin.

Michele Pazienza is also on the verge of a move away from the club and although it originally seemed assured he would be moving across the city, Fiorentina have hijacked the Granata’s attempts to sign the midfielder.

The Viola themselves have lost duo Alessandro Gamberini and Valon Behrami, both to Napoli with the defender helping ease the pressure on the Partenopei’s aging backline and Behrami the latest player to join the Swiss contingent at the San Paolo.

Joining them in leaving the Artemio Franchi is defender Lorenzo De Silvestri who has left to join Sampdoria for a fee in the region of €4m.

It is not all departures though as they are close to finalising the transfer to the club of Juan Cuadrado which will be completed after the player undergoes surgery.

Inter President Massimo Moratti has attempted to shed some light on his side’s slow mercato saying that he is upset Genoa want to sell Mattia Destro only to Roma and that his side are still very much interested in bringing Lucas Moura to the club.

Roma have edged a step closer to bringing Sao Paolo defender Ivan Piris to the club after both parties have agreed a fee for the player.

Cagliari have also completed the loan signing of Danilo Avelar for the season from Karpaty Lviv.

The biggest movers of the last 24 hours though have undoubtedly been Bologna who have managed to wrap up the signings of new fewer than four players.

Roger Carvalho joins the Rossoblu along with goalkeeper Gianluca Curci, former Italian international Marco Motta and winger Abero Mathias from Nacional Montevideo.
