Inter have dropped out of the race for Brazilian midfielder Lucas after it was revealed by Brazilian paper Globoesporte that Paris Saint Germain have made an astonishing €45 million bid for the 19-year-old.

Lucas, who is currently with the Brazil squad at the Olympics, will officially join the Parisian outfit in January 2013.

Apparently it was not the lucrative offer that lured the Brazilian to Paris, but the chance to play alongside current Olympic teammate Thiago Silva who himself recently joined Le Rouge et Bleu.

The Parisian offer also means that along with Inter, Manchester United have bowed out of the race to sign Lucas as well.
