Inter president Massimo Moratti has indicated the club will not pay over the odds for Sao Paolo star Lucas.
Nerazzurri director Marco Branca is thought to be in Brazil trying to negotiate the terms of a potential deal for the player who is also wanted by Manchester United.
“As you know we are strongly interested in the guy,” Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.
“But our interest does not compel us to accept every kind of condition imposed.”
It is thought the youngster could fetch a fee in-excess of €20 million.
