Inter president Massimo Morratti has confirmed rumors that Maicon will be leaving the Nerazzurri this summer.

Moratti also verified that Maicon would be moving on to Manchester City, who have been after the Brazilian fullback for quite some time now.

Maicon is expected to head to Manchester tonight and join the reigning EPL champs for approximately 4 million euros.

Only the best of words were said of both Maicon and Julio Cesar who will also be making a move to the Premier League with QPR as his new club.

Moratti expressed his many thanks for the Brazilian duo and declared that Inter would always be home for them, a very moving gesture.

“We care about them and Inter will always be home to Maicon and Julio Cesar,” he told the press.

In their thirties both players will likely look to finish out their career in England after enjoying enormous success with the Italian giants and winning the Treble back in the 2009/10 season.
