Inter’s Douglas Maicon has so far been the target of clubs such as Chelsea and Real Madrid this summer but looks likely to head to Manchester City.
The Brazilian’s contract is set to expire in June 2013 and he nor the club have so far shown interest in renewing it.
Inter are seeking to negotiate a fee with the Premier League champions as rumors suggest personal terms have already been agreed with the player.
City have offered only €4.5m where as Inter are holding out for a figure somewhere in the region of €8m.
Negotiations are still ongoing and it is believed the transfer can be completed before Friday’s deadline.
