AC Milan’s bid to take Edin Dzeko on loan has been rejected by Manchester City as reports announce the club want a €31.5 million permanent deal.

Goal.com have reported, the Rossoneri made a bid to move ahead of Juventus in the race for the striker as both sides have been monitoring the player since he joined Wolfsberg.

However, Milan’s bid to take Dzeko on loan with an option to buy has unimpressed City boss Roberto Mancini. His club have set an asking price of €31.5m for the Bosnian centre-forward, as they are looking to claw back the majority of the £32m they parted with.

It seems that the Rossoneri’s attempt to land Dzeko cheaply has created the perfect opportunity for Juventus to step in.
