Serie A Transfer Round-Up: Juventus And Milan Fight For City Striker And Inter Move For Moura Complicated

Today’s highlights…

Milan and Juventus are set to fight it out this week to secure the signing of Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.

The Rossoneri have had a season-long loan deal rejected by City who have told both clubs they must pay €30m for the player although the league champions are looking to table a bid of €18m.

The Bianconeri are also set to battle it out with fellow Serie A outfit Napoli to attempt to bring Brazilian midfielder Wallace Oliveira in from Fluminese.

There is a flood of activity regarding the exit door at Juventus Stadium as up to three players are going to join new clubs.

Reto Ziegler is wanted by the likes of Lazio, Genoa, Palermo and Napoli while Felipe Melo is on the verge of finalising his move to Galatasaray and Jorge Martinez will join Mallorca on loan.

For over a month now it seemed as though the future of Lucas Moura lay at either Old Trafford or San Siro but it looks now to be a three-horse race to sign the Brazilian afte Paris Saint Germain revealed their interest.

Liverpool have bec0me a club closely linked wth transfer stories regarding Serie A this past week and after Alberto Aquilani left Merseyside to join Fiorentina, the Reds are hoping to replace him with Bologna star Gaston Ramirez.

They were also hoping to sign Fulham ace Clint Dempsey but could be set to miss out on that move as Roma look to add him to the growing American influence at the club.

Aly Cissokho of Lyon has been consistently rumoured to be ready for a move to the peninsula, and specifically the San Paolo, but it now appears that the talks have broken down between the clubs.

Roma defender Gabriel Heinze looks certain to be on his way out of the club his summer and he is understood to be considering offers from Parma, Bologna and Olympiakos.

Juan Manuel Vargas is definitely also on his way out of Florence but although he was offered to Zenit St Petersburg, it has now emerged that Genoa and Galatasaray have joined the race for the winger.

With Genoa having refused the chance to sign Fernando Belluschi permanently from Porto, the player is now wanted by Parma, Chievo and Monaco.

The Grifone though are understood to be keen on Catania’s Pablo Barrientos while the Sicilian’s Giovanni Marchese is wanted by Torino.

Sampdoria midfielder Angelo Palombo could be finally set to end the speculation surrounding his future by joining the Granata this week and he could be followed there by Juventus’ Michele Pazienza.

Finally, Parma are hoping to strengthen their defence by bringing in Nacional’s Rolin for a fee of €5m.
