Today’s highlights…

Manchester City are believed to be ready to up their bid for a third time for Roma regista Daniele De Rossi and will now table an offer of €35m.

However, club director Walter Sabbatini has hit out at the news saying that the player “is worth over €100m” which would look to scupper City’s chances of signing the Italian international.

Milan received bad news in their attempts to sign Kaka from Real Madrid after Adriano Galliani admitted that there is very little chance the Rossoneri will be able to tempt the Brazilian back to San Siro.

Juventus are set to renew their discussions with Udinese over the transfer of Pablo Armero while Athletic Bilbao manager Marcelo Bielsa has admitted it is not up to him whether or not striker Fernando Llorente stays.

The player has been linked with the Bianconeri in the past few days.

After the disappointment of missing out on Lucas Moura, Inter are looking to swoop for Bologna midfielder Gaston Ramirez by offering €20m and possibly putting Juan Jesus and Samuele Longo into the deal.

The Nerazzurri are also understood to be uninterested in taking Nene from PSG.

Roma yesterday spoke of their desire to add to the defence and it now seems that they will turn to their initial transfer target Bruno Uvini to do so.

The Giallorossi have also terminated the contract of David Pizarro who is to hold extended talks with Fiorentina today who are also talking with the agent of Hoffenheim’s Ryan Babel.

Stefano Okaka is also due to follow the same path as Aleandro Rosi by leaving the Stadio Olimpico to move to Parma who are also set to sign 20-year-old defender Bruno Pacheco.

Lazio are also edging closer to the capture of Andreas Granqvist and he may not be the only player to arrive from Genoa this week with the Biancocelesti now also being linked with Alberto Gilardino.

They may not be the only players on the way out of the club though as Chievo are looking to sign 25-year-old midfielder Felipe Seymour.

Cagliari striker Joaquin Larrivey is also angling for a move himself although he is unsure at the moment exactly where his future lies but did admit he will be at his best if he remains in Sardinia.

Sampdoria have strengthened today by signing HJK Helsinki younsgter Vahid Hambo for an undisclosed fee and are also edging closer to the signing of Enzo Maresca from Malaga.

Agon Mehmeti of Palermo looks to be on his way out of the club today with Novara and Troyes both interested in the player.

Finally, Torino are hoping to bring in Quilmes striker Cauteruccio Martin although they may face problems over the player’s passport.
