Atalanta’s left-back Federico Peluso will be looking for his second cap in tonight’s qualifier against Malta.

The former AlbinoLeffe man made his international debut last month, which saw the Azzurri lose in a friendly against England 2-1.

Its a possibility that Peluso could start tonight in Modena, and Peluso has no fear about playing for his country.

“This shirt will not weigh me down,” stated Peluso. “Wearing this jersey is a motive of honour. It is a dream and playing for Italy is always very special.”

The Azzurri have started their Brazil 2014 campaign with heavy criticism after they saw themselves scabbing a 2-2 draw in Sofia.

“The Malta game will be very different from the one in Sofia, but it will already be decisive,” said Peluso, who brought a lot of speculation with Juventus over the summer transfer window.

“Let us hope we can win by going into the match with a different mentality.”

Kick off is at 7:45pm at the Stadio Alberto Braglia — Modena
